Went on a shopping spree yesterday for the event. (First Annual Pineywoods Invitational- GCWQXK)
There's some cool stuff to win! In addition to some nice gift cards, there's going to be FTF prizes in every cache in the competition. Since Pastor and Pastor's Wife won't be there, maybe someone else can win a prize for the uh, ahem, "performance" based caches. (see pictures of Declination of Independence for details...)

Hey! Thanks for linking the HOT geocaching site with yours! Patrat and her three mice, along with Bigdogg4, if he can get off work, will be at the event. I've been reading some of your posts. You are as warped as the SE Texas gang! Woohoo! The event should be tons-o-fun.
In reference to the photo: My vision is not great so I cant make out what the couple is doing. Are they assaulting flamingos? I hope they are doing a cheer with pom-poms, but it really looks like a couple unlucky birds are living out their last minutes on Earth!
I grew up in Crockett and have been in the Killeen area for three years, so it will be nice to camp and play with you Piney Woods folks. I'm wondering if that night cache is still up? Its one of the ones I've been wanting to do, but just havent gotten to it. It will be nice to visit with Park Ranger Tatum, too. He got me with that caged cat trick the last time we were out there.
See ya in a few days!!

Geez, Clay. We can't make the event so you do this to us. Remember we were have crazed by sunstroke that day. We'd fought bullnettles, and chased our tail as the gpsr pointer here...no there..no here...on Iron Ore Hill. Come to church on a Sunday and see the real me when I haven't lost 1/2 my weight in sweat and I don't need pom-poms to win a glass of water and piece of bread. :)
We're just casual, recreational cachers.

In addition to some great prizes I already had for the event, 9Key from TXGA donated a whole bunch of cool prizes. Thanks 9Key!
